Bill is back behind the microphone for the first time in three weeks, and his sonorous voice is, well, music to our ears. The guys waste no time getting down to it by first paying tribute to Bob’s favorite Belgian and inventor of the saxophone, Adolph Sax, on his birthday. Songs by the Rolling Stones, the Blasters, and Big Jay McNeely are testament to the awesomeness of Adolph’s invention. The real star of tonight’s show is Bill’s Aunt Helen. Streaming the show from Springfield, she became a member of WAIF to support community radio and Bill and Bob’s on-air antics. As a thank you, the guys played the Quebe Sisters ridiculously excellent cover of the Hank Williams classic “Cold, Cold Heart”. It’s Aunt Helen’s favorite song.
