BLUE SNAKES & BANJOS

Radio has always been a place to discover great music. “Blue Snakes & Banjos” carries on that tradition each week as Bob Hust and Bill Thompson feature the best songs — old and new — from artists they have loved for many years and others they have just discovered. The best songs transport people to a time and place.
That’s the foundation of BS&B.

Come for the music,

Bob paid tribute to B.B. King, who would have turned 101 Wednesday, while Bill made a half-hearted attempt to justify his attendance at this week’s Yacht Rock Revue at Hard Rock Casino.

“Mr. Thompson? Please hold for Mr. Santana.”

Bill has written about music for years, first for the Cincinnati Enquirer and now
for Blue Snakes & Banjos. He’s spent time on the telephone or chatting in
venues with some of the best musicians in the world. Here are some of the
stories conjured from those conversations.
