Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, was reported to be in failing health (she would die Aug. 16) this week. We played some of her classic tunes and Bill recounted the one time he saw her perform, at Dayton’s Hara Arena in 1969.

Bob is back from France where he ate 42 different cheeses, drank 24 types of wine, and played with goats. Unfortunately, his return marks the official end of his birthday season. To salve the burn of having to return to the real world, he and Bill play some excellent selections from the Legendary Shack Shakers, Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys, and Reverend Horton Heat to name a few.
