Bill jumped the gun with about 20 minutes of bonus coverage before officially signing on. Bob called in to remind folks that he was safe in the Mansion on the Hill in Clifton, but the studio rookie couldn’t mash the buttons properly to make a good connection. We’ll fix that glitch, so until then, enjoy the week’s Spotlight Artist, Joni Mitchell.

Ghosts attacked the machine at the beginning of the show, but Bill remained calm and bounced back to play good music on the first episode of Year 7. Unfortunately, none of Bill’s words were picked up by the microphone, so this show is all music. “Thank You” from Sly & the Family Stone was scheduled to open the night as a gift for everybody who has supported BS&B for six years, but that was lost to the glitch. However, the evening closed with the haunting “Family Affair,” another reminder that we’re all in this together.
