Bob was out of town on a secret mission, leaving Bill in the studio solo. The program started well, then a Spotify glitch ran it off the rails. But with a newfound calm after dealing with more serious issues, the host didn’t panic and switched the “Songs of 1969,” a disc he made for a high school reunion. Texts poured in praising those tunes, so he stuck with it until closing the show with Stevie Wonder’s “Higher Ground,” a top hit of 1973 (50 years ago).
