Bill pays tribute to his longtime friend, Chip Mellor, a Piqua homeboy who lived a very different life. They went through school and to college together before their paths diverged, but their affection and respect for each other never wavered.
Two amazing guys from PHS Class of 1969. I remember some GREAT times and laughs between these two. My path crossed with Chip when he came to Wichita on business in the 90’s and when I realized what an accomplished person he was. Freshman year with these two was truly memorable. Small town boys- great memories!

Ah the memories. Chip. Music. Beatles. Piqua. Riding bikes around town. Wilder.

I’ll listen to this playlist tonight and think of our dear friend. Chip was (and remains) the best.
