This week’s show kicks-off with a tribute to the often unsung heroes of countless hits: the back-up singers. As luck would have it, this was also National Colon Cancer Awareness Month. Bob and Bill had special guest Steve Martin (not that Steve) in the studio. Steve is a real gastroenterologist and he talked about the importance of colon cancer screening.

The studio was awash with WAIF all-star personalities: Rob, the co-host of The Great Pacific Garbage Patch; Tom Winkler, the host of Classics of Country; and Disco Dave, host of Disco World. An excellent time was had by all and excellent music was played.

Bob and Bill have a theory that the unusually warm weather has been responsible for people not only being nicer but also having more patience with each other. Maybe it’s not the weather. Maybe more and more people have been tuning in to Blue Snakes & Banjos. And maybe the show’s witty repartee and excellent music are the real reasons people are feeling good.

Sounds like Bob is having a lively conversation with himself. And while that’s the best way to get the answers you want, Bill was actually in the studio with him…grappling with a temperamental microphone. Fret not, they eventually got it to work. Technology can be a fickle thing.
